I’m cutting it pretty close tonight with 49 minutes to midnight (SORRY KIRBY)
Star Wars, duh.

via comingsoon.net
Josh and I saw The Force Awakens for the fourth time on Monday (this time with his family). I was surprised to find that I still got choked up multiple times; even at the title crawl. That I’ve read before. Four times. Chalk that up to the power of nostalgia mixed with swelling music, I guess?
I know that there’s been a lot of hype about this movie, and I hate to add to the noise because I get turned off when things are overly hyped too, but I truly can’t help being enthusiastic. I love the new characters, I love what’s going on with the old characters, I love the wardrobe and the sets and the music, and I love the story they’ve started with this episode. I can’t wait to see how it unfolds in the next films.
My essential oil diffuser necklace
I bought this diffuser necklace before our Christmas trip to Arkansas because I often get anxious while traveling. I found that it truly did make a difference – anytime I started feeling panicky, I just gave it a sniff and repeated affirming mantras to myself. I’ve continued wearing the necklace around because I like the smell, and I like having it right there if I start feeling nervous or anxious for any reason. My favorite essential oils to put in there are bergamot & lavender.
Hamilton the Musical
A musical about one of the Founding Fathers? Yeah, I know.. that sounds boring. But guys. It’s not what you think. There are so many catchy songs on this soundtrack! It’s hard to choose favorites, but here are a few of mine: You’ll Be Back (that accent, amirite?), Satisfied (this one gets stuck in my head the most), Wait For It (“I am the one thing in life I can control” gah!), and Stay Alive (Reprise) (that one makes me cry every time). Google it if you’re even remotely interested. Did I mention it’s mostly hip-hop and R&B and the performers are BRILLIANT?
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (keeptalkinggame.com)
In Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, one player has a bomb on their computer with different modules they have to correctly disarm before time runs out. Here’s the catch, though, the other player(s) have the bomb manual that explains how to diffuse each module. Neither person can see the other’s information, so it relies completely on clear communication. This game is intense! I won’t pretend like I haven’t gotten a little too into it once or twice.. But when I can keep my cool, this game is a blast.
Blood orange San Pellegrino
These things are delicious! Bonus: the little foil hats make me feel so fancy.
HAMILTON YES welcome to the club I’ve been completely obsessed too 🙂 I would probably go with Wait For It, The Schuyler Sisters, and Washington on Your Side as current favorites
