Currently (or: ideal background tv, obedience, and painapples)

Seeing.. I’ve got Friends on quietly in the background while I work on this post. Friends is ideal background TV because it’s easy to ignore, but when you need a quick break, it’s entertaining even if you haven’t been paying attention.

Hearing.. Josh is working on obedience with Lulu out in the living room, so I hear a bunch of “nos” and “goods” and a little whining in between (still working on that). We’ve only been training for a few days, but it’s going really well so far. Right now, they’re working on not begging for food, and Lulu is SO SAD.

Tasting.. I’m currently snacking on some fresh pineapple! Josh picked some up while he was out, per my request. It’s delicious, but I’ve got a sore in my mouth, so I’m kinda, well..

Regretting.. my snack choice, at the moment. It’s a real bummer because I ❤ pineapple! More like paineapple though, amirite?

Thankful for.. my sweet husband, who drives to the grocery store when I want chocolate, works hard on the creative and business sides of Blimey Cow so that I don’t have to work (my last job always made me sick), and comforts me when I’m overwhelmed. I know I’m being sappy right now, but Josh really makes my life a hundred times better. Sometimes I take him for granted. But not today 😉

I’m also thankful for our dog-training friend’s help with Lulu, my comfy bed, La Croix, Robin Eggs (the easter candy.. they’re my weakness), and dry shampoo.

What are you currently seeing, hearing, tasting, regretting, and/or thankful for?

  1. Fresh is better than canned! / It doesn’t matter if you / are a girl or a man! / Fresh is better than canned!

Sorry, it was there and I just had to.

I’m glad things are going well with Lulu! Haha, I wish I could get my dogs not to beg for food.

I am currently SEEING the sun, which is quite nice, as it’s been rainy and cloudy for a while where I live! I love rainy weather in moderation, but it’s amazing how even one sunny day lifts my spirits. And I’m LISTENING to Dario Marianelli’s score to the 2011 Jane Eyre, and it’s some of the most hauntingly beautiful music I’ve ever heard. I love it. I’m sort of REGRETTING the fact that I’m not using this spring break to work on some papers for school, but…not enough to actually write the papers. When will I ever learn….

By the way, you’re doing a great job with blogging every day. Your posts are really fun to read 🙂

  2. I just started following you blog and I love it. Love it. I look forward to reading your post each day.
Currently I’m sitting at a cafe in North India, seeing the Himalaya Mountains. I’m hearing people chatter way in different langues and I only understand 40% of it. I’m tasting a delicious egg sandwich while regretting not studying for an upcoming Latin test two weeks ago. I’m thankful for cafes and wifi and hats that cover hair.

    • Thank you! Your life sounds very exciting, so I’m flattered that you enjoy reading about mine, haha. Good luck on your Latin test!

  3. I’m currently seeing the parking lot of my college. It’s 7 in the morning and I have Spanish class at 8.

Whilst in my car I can hear birds chirping and the heavy morning traffic of the highway behind me.

Unfortunately, I’m not tasting anything because I decided to leave the house without a cup of ice coffee.

However, my regret isn’t that I’m not sipping on the sweet nectar that is Starbucks ice espresso, it’s that I decided to sign up for an 8 o’clock class that meets Monday-Thursday instead of the class that meets 3 days a week, every other day.

I’m thankful for a lot of things I guess, but the most prominent here lately is that God showed me the truth, and my thick skull finally started to let it sink in. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with guilt for a while now, and it was beginning to hinder my walk with God. I was being legalistic and fell victim to the false perception that the condemnation in my head was actually coming from the Almighty. It was so stupid. Jesus came to save the world not condemn it. He delights in me, in every body. And when I do mess up the Lord will always be forgiving. Praise God!

  4. I think is is lovely when husbands do that. I live close to a store but on days where I don’t want to have to get the children all dressed (since homeschooling and pjs go hand in hand) and don’t want to put on make up. . . .but I really need milk and water because we’re almost out, he’ll go and stop at the store on his way home from work (which is 45 minutes away mind you). I think it is so nice when husbands do things like that for us ladies!!! How lovely!

Pineapple seems like a great snack to have compared to that desired chocolate! Enjoy the dog training!!!

  5. That painapple joke instantly made me smile 🙂 If I have too much it gives me a migraine, so I rarely have it. I can just imagine the regret after eating it with a sore in your mouth!!
