The Dumbest Little Bummer

The dumbest little bummer about being back from vacation is having to make my own food again. I can’t be the only one who feels this way when they get back from a trip! Surely there are others who get used to the eating out and then the subsequent bummer that is meal planning after vacation. Disney has such great allergy-friendly options, so I barely had to think about what I was going to eat for each meal – I could just choose whatever looked the yummiest to me in that moment. Now that I’m home, there’s planning and preparation involved, so I’ve just got to eat what I’ve got, no matter what sounds yummiest to me in the moment.

My newfound favorite, tonkatsu ramen, will always sound yummiest to me in the moment but I CAN’T MAKE THAT IN FIVE MINUTES, NOW CAN I?

It’s definitely not a big deal. It’s just one of the little things that takes a minute to get used to again. Like doing laundry or driving yourself around.

The best parts of being back from vacation are obvious: my own bed, my own bathroom, my own kitchen, knowing how to navigate the town I’m in, being close to friends, etc. We actually got to hang out with some friends tonight and it made me realize how much I need social interaction, haha. As an introvert, sometimes I forget. Especially after being surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of strangers at WDW – it feels almost like I’m people’d out after being in such large crowds – but that’s definitely not the same as spending time with close friends who know and love you.

Things got busy fast after we got home from FL, and I’m also still fighting a cold, so my energy is even lower than usual. It’s way past my bedtime! Goodnight, friends. See y’all tomorrow.
